Bhura, the poultry farmer, gets selected to the Champaner cricket team based on his deft fielding prowess, which he proves as the match unfolds. Ingeniuty isn’t his biggest strength but he organises fielding training sessions in the larger interest, rather reluctantly letting the whole team run after his beloved hens. When involved in a between-the-wickets mix-up as a batsman, he sacrifices his wicket to allow his captain’s continued stay at the crease. Hens are and remain his link to life.
