Fort Kochi Kerala sketches

Always had an idea to draw a bit of Fort Kochi (its another area in India, where much heritage might be packed in, an opportunity to peruse of a life of slightly different cultures n times).
.
Never got the time to spend a few days in the area proper, though I’d visited it 2-3 times on day-trips. Until last month, when I got 3 days!
Though its too short a time to really soak in the life there in its nuances, say as well as I know Fontainhas Goa, hopefully this stint will continue to some more drawings produced over next few weeks.
.
When one is so used to the (traditional) architecture of a region (Goa), sketching street scenes of another region takes getting used as I realised.
Though the architecture is more or less similar, its only when the actual sketching is proceeded with, one realises things a new. I think I move through various styles even when faced with something very familiar anyways, though some stylisation was crystallising towards the latter part of Fontainhas sketches.
The other big difference is that almost all the Goan houses sketched were urbanSketches (meaning I sat in front of the houses, and drew and painted, typically in 1 sitting of about 60-75 minutes.
.
Hope you like this batch. Looking forward to your opinion n comments 🙏🏼
